Travel Information - Grand Cayman Island Skate / Surf Camps

Arrival and Departure Airport: You should arrive and depart Grand Cayman-Owen Roberts Int´l Airport (GCM/MWCR)

Drop off / arrival information: At the airport, we will be waiting for you in the baggage claim area (if you arrive on a domestic flight) or after you pass immigration (if you arrive on an international flight) with a sign saying `All Star Adventures`. Please ensure that your flight arrives between 10am and 4pm on the first day of your session.  Unaccompanied minor pick up and drop off is available for an additional fee of $50 plus standard airline fees.  You are responsible for arranging this service with the airline.  You will need to contact us for staff name and other information if you select to utilize this airline service. Upon arrival in Grand Cayman you will clear immigration after deplaning and before departing from the airport. You will be asked at this time to show proof of citizenship as well as to state your purpose for coming to the island. When departing Grand Cayman you will go through local immigration. You will not clear customs or US Immigration until you reach your first destination in the United States.  

End of camp return / pick up information: Please plan your departure between 10am and 4pm on the last day of your session. CONDITIONS OF TRAVEL

Travel Insurance: Travel insurance, including emergency evacuation coverage, is required for all our trips. We ask you not to attend our trips without first purchasing travel insurance coverage. We recommend that you purchase a policy that includes a cancellation protection so that you will be covered in the occurrence that you are unable to attend a trip (due to injury, illness or other unforeseen circumstances) or in the unlikely event that a trip must be cancelled. We do not provide travel insurance for our clients. Please contact your local travel agent to purchase travel insurance.  You may also click here to view recommended web sites for insurance.

Passports & Visas: A valid passport is required by all persons (infant to adult) traveling to/from Grand Cayman. Please note that it is your responsibility to ensure that you have the correct travel documentation.

Age: Ages 12 to 17 are welcome on our overnight skateboard trips.  18+ custom groups available by phone enquiry.

Health and Fitness requirements: necessary vaccinations and physicians’ clearance are required before joining us for a trip. 

Safety & Security: To maximize your safety during our tours you should exercise common sense and caution at all times. We recommend that you always stick to set travel arrangements, and avoid unknown areas. We also recommend that you wear minimal jewelry and that you keep valuable items safely stored. Always keep a copy of your passport, airline tickets, traveler’s checks and credit card numbers separate from where you keep the originals.

WHAT TO TAKE

Equipment: To make the most of your trip, we recommend you bring your own equipment…especially your own skateboard and skateboard shoes.  If you are unable to bring your own equipment, there are skateboard and helmet packages available for rent.

What to bring: We ask that you pack as lightly as possible (limit one small duffle bag and one backpack). There will not always be someone available to help you carry your bags so you should only bring as much as you can carry on your own.

» money belt
» sunscreen

» your sense of adventure

Spending Money
» Meals - budget around $8-12US for lunch; we eat lunches out to experience a taste of the island fare, and experience the local culture
» Other expenses - apart from meals, there are no necessary additional expenses for this trip, but you might like spending money for souvenir shopping, spare parts, and snacks.

It is not necessary to exchange US dollars, as US currency is accepted everywhere.  Average rate .80 US = $1 Cayman Island dollar
